Engagement Session in Asheville NC

Pam and Jordan were so fun to be around! They came to Asheville for their engagement session from Boone. We went to the park and played with their dogs which are very special to them. Then we spent some time with just the two of them. Once we finished up the day, we went to the Mellow Mushroom for dinner. Afterward the sun was going down so we decided that it would be fun to go to the fair and play. We had a blast! Check out the slideshow here. Isn't their love obvious! Two wonderful couples

I have two wonderful weddings to share today. Cheryl and Steve were married at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Clyde, NC and held their reception at the Maggie Valley Country Club. The Common Saints band played all night and kept everyone entertained. They even helped the children learn to dance like James Brown! I have heard so many great things about them and now I had the chance to see them play. What everyone said is true. They are great! One of the funniest moments I have seen at a wedding happened and I will forever smile when I think about it. For the toast, one of the little girls got the microphone and was very shy at first. Once she decided what to say it came out confidently, with no hesitation and perfect clarity. Can you guess what a little girl would say to a couple in love....a priceless moment......."Cheryl and Steve sitting in a tree, k.i.s.s.i.n.g., First comes love, then comes marraige....." It had me laughing so hard. I'd have to say it was one of the most perfect moments ever.


















Another wedding that I am dying to share with you is Megan and Chris. I have already posted her bridal portraits at the Biltmore Estate, but here are a few images from the wedding. Her love of the color pink showed throughout her selections of every detail. Each of her bridesmaids had selected their own flowers to where they were all different but still pink. Megan put so much though into her day that even the flowers were embellished with each girls initials as a silver charm with pink beads. The church had pink flowers on every pew and an arbor of flowers surrounded them during the ceremony. The reception was held at the Crest Center and Pavilion which was spectacular. There was a pink candy buffet with everything from pink and white M&Ms, watermelon twizzlers, strawberry whoppers, to bubble gum flavored rock candy. Megan and Chris were joined by all their family and friends and danced into the night. Congratulations to both happy couples!

The Vineyard

Laurin and James were married at the Uwharrie Vineyards in Albemarle, NC. The day of the wedding it came a storm so strong that while I was sitting in traffic, the only thing I could see was a faint red light from the tail light of the car in front of me at the red light. Traffic just sat still for what seemed like an eternity. Then came the hail. I thought to myself...oh no this is going to be really bad. But, the storm moved on. Though the ceremony had to be moved inside, we went into the vineyard afterward and it was spectacular. Laurin and James celebrated way into the night with all their friends and family. It was a wonderful day! Congratulations to you both!

Biltmore Bridal Portrait

I am excited to finally get to show you a sneak peak at Megan's Bridal portraits. Her wedding was last Saturday at a beautiful church in Candler and the reception held at the Crest Center and Pavilion, so I can now show you just how beautiful she looked!

Seaside Florida

Stephanie and John were married in Seagrove Florida last weekend and we had a fun day before the wedding shooting their engagement session. Check out their slideshow. The song playing is the song she wrote for him for Valentine's Day. I had so much fun! Stay tuned for their wedding slideshow coming soon!

Old Salem

Danielle and Jesse had a beautiful wedding in Winston Salem, NC at the Highlands Presbyterian Church followed by the reception at the Old Salem Visitors Center where The Main Event Band kept everyone dancing all night long. Dinner was catered by Visions Catering which was delicious! Congratulations Danielle and Jesse! I wish you all the love in the world!

So Many Wonderful Days!

It's been awhile since I have had a chance to post, so there are many things to talk about. I enjoyed a day with Megan earlier in the month shooting her bridal portrait at the Biltmore House just at the beginning of the flower festival. I cannot post any of the images until after the wedding, however I am so pleased with the images. She is so beautiful and just glowed the entire day (even though it was about 30 degrees outside and a snow storm was on its way).

Another wonderful day was spent with Dana and Martin, fellow photographers, enjoying a post wedding shoot. Here are some of the images from the day. They were so fun and were up for anything! I loved it!




















I had the privilege to photograph Amy & Scott's wedding held at their church and the reception at The Cedar's in downtown Hendersonville, NC. All the wonderful flower arrangements and coordination of the day was elegantly done by Sandra Walker of Southern Traditions Florist. Tom Ciaramitaro from Mountain Top Entertainment did an awesome job and the crowd had a wonderful time. Here is a sneak peak from their day.









During these past few weeks I also had the opportunity to photograph the Copper Crest Inn located in Hendersonville, NC. This is a great location for parties, weddings, and family reunions. Oh, and the food is superb!

Great Couple!

What a wonderful weekend! I had the honor of photographing Rachael and Craig's wedding at the Doubletree Guest Suites South Park in Charlotte NC on April 7th. Split Second Sound kept the party going. Very Exciting News! The new issue of The Brides Book was just released today. My images from Suzanne and Adrian's wedding in Valle Crucis, NC, were printed as a featured wedding in the magazine. Ring Shopping

As I was looking through my images last night, I came across one of my favorites of Stephanie and I though I would share. We went ring shopping while I was visiting her in Nashville, TN. This shot is from Tiffany & Co. After many days of online research, she thought the Legacy was the ring she wanted, however, once we went to Village Jewelers, she saw the ring she just had to have. The wedding is May 5th, so keep checking back and you will see the final choice.
